Virginie Gravier. Two words that mean five languages, a photographic memory, a foodie nonpareil, a connoisseur of world wide wines and an encyclopedia of art, architecture, and world history.
When I first met Virginie in 1994 , bringing two coach loads of American students and adults to tour France, there was no question in my mind that ours would be a life long friendship and professional association.
Indeed, over the next 22 years, Virginie met me again and again to the tune of hundreds of travelers from the southern U.S., all of whom loved her for a genuinely warm personality and immense knowledge of…..almost everything!
My clients know her from trips to France, the U.K., Scotland, Venice, Rome, and even the Gothic quarter of Barcelona.
Virginie Gravier.
Two words that mean incomparable !

I have had the opportunity to benefit from Virginie Gravier’s expertise on several occasions on my travels in France, whether it be the Mediterranean Coast, the major regional cities,or the Loire Valley and of course Paris itself both as part of an organised group and personally in specialised tours in Paris in particular. Her local knowledge and communication skills particularly in her English language proficiency make her the ideal travelling partner to enjoy the history and regional features of France to the maximum.

We greatly appreciated Virginie’s professionalism, along with her bubbly personality. Her infectious joie de vivre, her knowledge of history – after stories – art, architecture, but also fascinating facts about everyday life of the French, made all the difference in making our visit so interesting, educated and enjoyable. Virginie is a wonderful ambassador to her country, as well as a very hard working, professional, organized person. Her attention to detail does not go unnoticed by experienced travellers. Heartfelt thanks.

Virginie’s explanations were always very clear, her knowledge of French culture, history and art was above and beyond expectations. We enjoyed her cheerful professional manner. Her personal comments, anecdotes and humour all added to our pleasure. She loves her country, she loves her job and she excels at making people feel at ease so that they can enjoy their stay in France.

We found Virginie’s love of France, her knowledge of the country, it’s people and their history – her style of guiding and her respectful manner both intelligent and many times, also entertaining. We learned so much from her commentaries.

Virginie was extremely helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable and had a sense of humour too. Possibly what greatly endeared us to her was the fact that he was “so very French”. It added greatly to our experience and Virginie increased our understanding of the French people too.
